Sanibel Security Camera System Approved By City Council

“For the FY 2013-2014 Budget, City Council approved funding for a City-wide single integrated video management and security system.

This project as designed includes an integrated video management system and video data storage system. These system enhancements will significantly improve the security camera systems.

City Council approved the selection of Johnson Controls (JCI) through a sealed RFQ process for this project which includes the evaluation of our current systems, recommendations for new system design, installation of new systems and future system maintenance.

The current funds allocated toward this project are:

  • Police Department Video and Security $200,000
  • Beach Parking Video and Security $210,000
  • Bowman’s Beach parking Video and Security $100,000
  • Recreation Center and Ball Fields Video and Security $46,000
  • TOTAL $556,000″
