“A $42 million ‘downtown hub’ is envisioned for Sanibel Island as part of the Civic Core project.
To address aging facilities, a new Island Seniors Center, along with a BIG ARTS performance hall, theater, and learning center is set to be built and connected by bike paths and green spaces.
The City of Sanibel will donate 25 acres of land to the project that sits south and east of the Sanibel Public Library.”
