Road to Sanibel Lighthouse Closed
High Tide, 6-6-16. The road to the Sanibel Lighthouse has been closed due to erosion caused by tidal and wave action created by Tropical Storm Colin.
Road to Sanibel Lighthouse Closed Due To Heavy Erosion.
The City Of Sanibel issues the following press release.
“The road to the Sanibel Lighthouse has been closed due to erosion caused by tidal and wave action created by Tropical Storm Colin.
The road will remain closed until the water recedes and Public Works staff can complete the necessary repairs. The City encourages Lighthouse Beach Park visitors to utilize the gulf side parking lot and use caution around the area. The road to the Lighthouse is anticipated to be open by the weekend.”
