Captain Joey Burnsed Team Captures 1st Place In 2016 Cabbage Key Open Fishing Tournament!
Captain Joey Burnsed, Patrick Field and Lamar Williams won the 2016 Cabbage Key Open Fishing Tournament yesterday with a 38.5″ inch snook and 32″ redfish!
“Like the Fingers O’Bannon Memorial Fishing Tournament, the Cabbage Key Open is an invite only tournament.
The Cabbage Key Open originated in 2002 as a tournament simply known by many as the “Hooters” tournament at Cabbage Key. Thanks to the contributions from our friends at “Hooters”, the tournament got off to a fast start which helped propel the tournament into one of the more popular tournaments in the area.
