U.S. Representative Curt Clawson Proposes $800 million To Expedite Repairs To Hoover Dike.

Legislation would set aside $800 million and expedite the repairs to the Hoover Dike to 2020, 4 to 6 years ahead of the current schedule.

The City Of Sanibel issued the following news release last evening.

Last week Sanibel Mayor Kevin Ruane and a delegation representing all six of the Mayors of the cities of Lee County met with members of Congress, including Clawson, in Washington, D.C. to discuss the devastating impacts of the current Lake Okeechobee releases.”
