Happy Daze, Great Captiva Rental Home!  Child-Friendly Elegance!

Our single family vacation home is great for Captiva rentals.  It has four bedrooms with four attached full baths with two bedrooms with king beds, one with a queen bed, and one with two sets of bunk beds.  There is also a fifth bedroom off the kitchen that is appropriate for children; it has a daybed and a foldout couch.

All bedrooms have televisions.

The house comfortably sleeps twelve people and is great for two families looking for a Captiva rental .  The property has an elevator and is accessible for those with disabilities, but is not specifically configured for those with disabilities (does not have hand bars in bathrooms, a roll-in shower, etc.)

All linens, towels, beach towels, etc. are included and supplied and managed by Royal Shell.  You do not need to bring any linens or towels.

The house has a laundry room with a washer and a dryer.

Our home has wireless, broadband cable modem access.

The property is located at 14865 Captiva Drive, one house north of the northeast corner of Captiva Drive and Dickey Lane, quite near South Seas Plantation.

There is parking space for up to four vehicles.

The beach is a five-minute walk down Laika Lane, about 1,200 feet.  We’re about 600 feet from the bay side of the island.  Our home is in the village; shops and restaurants are a very short walk, approximately 1,000 – 2,000 feet.  There are also two Marinas located within 1,000 – 2,000 feet from the home.

There is a beach cart and sundry umbrellas, chairs, pails and shovels in the garage.

The house is a 75 minute drive from the Ft. Myers airport, depending on traffic.  You will not need to take a ferry; you will drive across a newly built causeway.

The pool is standard size, about 14’ x 28’ with a Jacuzzi, sloping to about six feet in depth at the deep end.  The pool is kept heated to approximately 90 degrees year-round (a little cooler in the summer months) to encourage children to swim and play in the pool, have fun and burn off energy!  Please call in advance if you would like the pool temperature lowered.

This is a bright, cheerful and very comfortable home that is a wonderful place to bring your children for a vacation.  Good fun for all; lots of board games and children’s videos, with a TV and ping-pong and pool tables by the pool!  Come see the dolphins, manatees and river otters swimming nearby!
