Some Big Tarpon Rolling Off Jensen’s Marina On Captiva.
Sanibel Rentals, 3-29-15, Captiva: Big tarpon, in the 150-200 lb. range have been rolling off of Jensen’s all week.
A couple of guides have hooked them, but no one has brought a tarpon to the boat. They are very feisty and have broken off when they have been hooked.
Fishermen are having better luck with live bait. Cut bait is being grabbed quickly by sharks.
