
Joe Williams, Sherry Dooley & Ben Stegmann Win Big In Cabbage Key Fingers O’Bannon Snook Tournament!

The 2015 Cabbage Key Fingers O’Bannon Invitational Memorial Snook Tournament wrapped up yesterday!
The tournament is strictly catch and release. Participants “weigh in” by submitting photos of the fish.
It was tight contest again this year.
Joe Williams’ boat out of Pine Island won the overall tournament with two snook totaling 82″. Joey Burnsed’s boat out of Castaways Marina, Sanibel Island came in 2nd with a two fish total of 79 & 3/4″ and Ozzie Fischer out of South Seas Resort, Captiva Island came in 3rd with a two fish total of 79″.
Sherry Dooley won the Women’s Medallion for biggest snook and Ben Stegmann, fishing on Joey Burnsed’s boat, won the Men’s Medallion for biggest fish at 42″ in a tie-breaker by “weighing in” fifteen minutes before Joe Williams’ submitted his 42” fish!
The Fingers O’Bannon Memorial Fishing Tournament is a prestigious invite only tournament dedicated to the life and memory of the late Floyd “Fingers” O’Bannon and devoted to raising money for AMI Kids on Fort Myers Beach and the Marine Science program at FGCU.
