“Ding” Darling Upcycle! Art Festival This Wednesday & Thursday, April 1 & 2.
“In the spirit of “Ding” Darling, Upcycle! Art Fest provides an artistic venue to showcase fine art and craft of the highest quality made from recycled and repurposed material. It will also educate and entertain the public on the importance of recycling and ultimately protecting our wildlife.
Plan now to attend the Second Annual 2015 Upcycle! Art Fest being held Wednesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 2, 2015, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sanibel Island, Florida.
Here’s what the 2nd Annual Upcycle! Art Fest has in store for you:
28 Artists & Art Sale
Twenty-eight jury-selected artists will display and sell their work, featuring repurposed and reenvisioned materials, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 1 and April 2 in the free “Ding” Darling Visitor &
Education Center at J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island, Florida.
Silent Auction
During the two days of the Upcycle! Art Fest, there will be an unique silent auction of participating artists. All proceeds from this auction will benefit conservation efforts at the Refuge.
“Make &Take” Activities
For festival-goers of all ages, we will set up five different areas on site the two days of Upcycle! Art Fest. Here visitors can work with local artists to make something creative from trash to take home and enjoy. We hope everyone who participates will see trash in a different way and learn how devastating many throw-away items can be to our earth and wildlife.”
