Nature Photographer John Moran will present his exhibition “Florida’s Fragile Fountains of Youth” twice this week in partnership with The Southwest Florida Community Foundation.   Moran will present at the foundations Community Hub in Fort Myers Wednesday at 4pm and at the Sanibel Sea School Thursday at 4pm.

“The Springs Eternal Project documents the beauty, history and increasing ecological devastation of Florida’s springs and aquifer”

Moran’s work seeks to not only to capture the beauty of Florida’s natural springs but demonstrate their crucial role in the ecosystem.

Pollution and high demands of groundwater threaten the springs’ longevity and Moran argues that the springs are an indicator for the health of the ecosystem overall.

In 2012, Moran partnered with Dr. Lesley Gamble, designer Rick Kilby to develop the Springs Eternal Project in order to educate Floridians about the springs and how to conserve them.

Space is limited. To RSVP, call 239-274-5900 or email Kim Williams at [email protected].
