The City of Sanibel issued the following news release.
“Heavier than normal traffic is anticipated along Periwinkle Way this weekend due to Special Events.
Motorists not attending events are strongly urged to utilize alternate routes this weekend. Additionally, motorists should be especially alert for pedestrians and cyclists crossing the roadway in the area of the events and should expect delays. Please plan your travel accordingly.
The City of Sanibel is a walkable and bikeable community and urges attendees to these special events to walk or bicycle, if feasible.
SATURDAY
Saturday, February 13th at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sanibel Captiva Rotary Arts & Crafts Fair at Sanibel Community Association, 2173 Periwinkle Way
SUNDAY
Sunday, February 14th at 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Sanibel Island Farmer’s Market at City Hall parking lot, 800 Dunlop Road, and the The Sanibel Captiva Rotary Arts & Crafts Fair at Sanibel Community Association at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 2173 Periwinkle Way.”
