Sanibel Causeway Traffic Up 5.8% In January.
Recent vehicular traffic growth trends continued in January; Sanibel Causeway traffic was up 5.8%.
Judie Zimomra, Sanibel City Manager, will discuss the statistics in this week’s City Council meeting.
Total January vehicular causeway traffic was 307,302 compared to 290,447 in January 2014. The highest recorded traffic for January was experienced in 2001 when 322,154 vehicles crossed the causeway.
It looks like it is going to be big year for Sanibel & Captiva tourism.
