Sanibel: Proposed Dark Sky Ordinance Spurs Significant Discussion At City Council Meeting.
The Sanibel City Council discussed the proposed Dark Sky Ordinance in yesterday’s, November 4, council meeting.
Vice Mayor Doug Congress led the discussion. There was significant public comment at the meeting.
There was general support for a Dark Sky Ordinance, but also multiple requests for additional time to study the details of the draft ordinance language and proposed approach.
The discussion was tabled and continued for further review at the December City Council meeting.
