Sanibel Red Tide Update, February 5
WINK News CBS reported the following.
“The situation may intensify, said Bruce Neil of the Sanibel Sea School.
“It’s unfortunate we have a simultaneous occurrence of red tide and a lot of nutrient latent water. So potentially it has a chance of being an intense bloom, but we will have to wait and see,” Neil said.
The smell of decaying fish at the pier, Lighthouse and beach in Sanibel was undeniable, but some people were still on the beach Thursday afternoon.
“I don’t consider them to be a problem at all,” one visitor said.”
