Within a couple of days after Hurricane Charley, there were blue tarps everywhere covering many roofs to keep the water out.
The blue tarps were around for almost a year. In some cases, maybe longer.
It took a long time for insurance funds to come through and to get access to labor for repairs because there was so much demand for roofing and construction services to rebuild.
